एक समय की बात है एक तालाब में बहुत सारे मेंढक रहते थे। तालाब के बीचों बीच एक बहुत पुराना खम्भा लगा हुआ था। खम्भा बहुत ऊँचा था और उसकी सतह भी चिकनी थी। एक दिन मेंढकों के दिमाग में आया की क्यों ना एक प्रतियोगिता करवाई जाये। इसमें भाग लेने वाले को खम्भे पर चढ़ना होगा और जो सबसे पहले ऊपर पहुंच जायेगा, उसे विजेता घोषित कर दिया जायेगा। तो उन्होंने प्रतियोगता का दिन फिक्स कर दिया। प्रतियोगिता का दिन आ गया, खम्भे के चारो और बहुत भीड इक्कठी हो गयी। आसपास के इलाकों से भी कई मेंढक इस प्रतियोगिता में हिस्सा लेने पहुंचे।
माहौल में सरगर्मी थी। हर तरफ शोर ही शोर था। प्रतियोगिता शुरू हुई… लेकिन खम्भे को देखकर भीड में से किसी भी मेंढक को यकीन नहीं हुआ, की कोई भी मेंढक इस खम्भे के ऊपर पहुंच पायेगा। चारो ओर यही शोर हो रहा था- “अरे ये बहुत कठिन हैं, वो कभी भी इसे नहीं जीत पाएंगे। ऊपर पहुंचने का तो कोई सवाल ही नहीं हैं, इतने चिकने खम्भे पर नहीं चढ़ा जा सकता” और यह हो भी रहा था कि जो भी मेंढक कोशिश करते, वो थोडा ऊपर जाकर फिसलने के कारण नीचे गिर जाते।
कई मेंढक तो बार बार गिरने के बावजूद अपने प्रयास में में लगे हुए थे। पर भीड तो अभी भी चिल्लाये जा रही थी, “ये नहीं हो सकता, ये असंभव हैं” तो अब जो भी मेंढक उत्साहित थे, कोशिश कर रहे थे, वो भी ये सुन सुनकर हताश हो गए और उन्होंने अपना प्रयास करना छोड़ दिया। लेकिन उन्ही मेंढकों के बीच एक छोटा सा मेंढक था। जो बार बार गिरने पर भी उसी जोश के साथ ऊपर चढ़ने में लगा हुआ था… वो लगातार ऊपर की ओर बढ़ता रहा और आखिरकार वह खम्भे के ऊपर पहुच गया।
और इस प्रतियोगिता का विजेता बना। उसकी जीत पर सभी को बड़ा आश्यर्य हुआ, सभी मेंढक उसे घेर कर खडे हो गए और पूछने लगे, “तुमने ये असंभव काम कैसे कर दिखाया, कैसे तुमने सबको पीछे छोड़ कर जीत प्राप्त करी?” तभी पीछे से किसी ने बोला… “अरे उससे क्या पूछते हो, ये तो बहरा है” आपको समझ आया वो कैसे जीता? जी हां उसके आसपास जितने भी टांग खींचने वाले थे, उनकी आवाज उसको नहीं सुनाई दी, जिससे वो नकारात्मक नहीं सोच पाया, और वो अपने लक्ष्य पर ज्यादा फोकस कर पाया और जीत गया।

दोस्तों, हमारे अंदर भी अपने लक्ष्य को प्राप्त करने की काबिलियत होती हैं, और हम शुरुआत भी करते हैं। लेकिन अपने आसपास के ज्ञान चंदो के कारण और अपने नकारात्मक माहौल के कारण, हम अपना काम या तो शुरू नहीं करते हैं या फिर बीच में ही छोड़ देते हैं। तो दोस्तों आपको जो भी पीछे रखने वाली आवाजे हैं वो कोई भी, कुछ भी हो सकती हैं। चाहे वो दोस्त हो, रिश्तेदार हो, या फिर आप खुद हो। इन सबको नजरअंदाज करना ही होगा। अपने आपको एक मजबूत इंसान बनाते हुए अपने लक्ष्य को प्राप्त करने के लिए हरसंभव प्रयास करने चाहिए। यदि आपने नकारात्मकता से दुरी बना ली, तो आपको सफलता के शिखर पर पहुंचने से कोई नहीं रोक सकता।
